What causes fuel from time to time to gel with little snot like balls? Can mixing 2 different oil types cause this? I found in the end of idle jet 2 times and just pulled out. Evapporates to nothing when left in open air. I keep good fuel. Any help appreciated.

It's water!
If it evaporates it's water!

If you don't have this get one, if you do change the filter.
Wal-Mart , local marine store or parts store carries this.

I have heard if you mix ethanol gas with non-ethanol gas, that will happen. Has anybody heard this? Chuck

No it is not true, ethanol by itself is completely soluble in gas whether the gas was made with ethanol or ethanol free.
As Al correctly stated, what adsit saw is water. Ethanol can act as an attractant and increase the amount of water that ends up in your fuel system.
Gasoline is no longer made for general use in all motors. Instead it is intended for use in late model cars with their non vented fuel tank systems.
