I'm setting up a new boat (28' vhull/ 300Xs). I have limited space in the dash for gauges. I currently have 2 tachs, 2 water pressure, gps speedo, and fuel gauge.

I also want to put either water temp or a pyro gauges in the last 2 spaces in the dash. What would you guys use? What's the +/-? I've never used a pyro (egt).

Thanks,
SCT

Use dual gauges, that way you've got it all covered. If not I'd do water temp.

If it's a stock motor that hasn't been screwed around with, there's not much need to worry about exhaust temps.

another vote for water temp...

fill all the holes... unnecessary... smartcraft gauges.... 2 tachs have water pressure, temp, oil level, and other functuions built in... 1 GPS smartcraft equiped speedo takes care of fuel level , speed, and the rest, also includes hr meter all in 3 gauuges.

Water temp. is more critical than the EGT!

You can have water pressure and have no water.

EGT have small increments, they go up 40 degree you can't really see it. But take a engine running 160 degrees and 40 to it and your going get a little worried.

You can buy a Digtron to manage EGT!
