View Full Version : Is it possible that the black voters are getting wiser?

If some of tonight's election results in Georgia are any indication, then the answer would have to be YES. Cynthia McKinney appears to have gotten a solid defeat with 97% of the precincts reporting so far. That's some of the best news I've heard this year. He opponent, a black male, who I know virtually nothing about would surely have to be a HUGE improvement if he has any IQ placing him above idiot level, and hopefully some common sense to go along with it. She's been an embarassment to the state of Georgia for two terms now (with a voter required vacation in the middle when she was defeated once before), but more importanly a completely non-effective legislator, who as near as I can tell accomplished NOTHING in 8 years except for keeping her name in the news, and succeeding in getting a portion of the interstate in Atlanta named after herself. The important thing is, a radical militant racist has been removed from the US House of Represenatives for the second time, and I sincerly hope she's through (although I doubt it).

In local politics there was a similar ouster. One of the incumbents, a black female with a controversial record has been defeated by another black female who by all accounts has good sense and a decent track record (although not in politics). It was disclosed last week that the incumbent had multiple liens for unpaid real estate taxes and also that she's in big trouble with IRS for non payment of Federal Taxes. The classic quote from her this week was, "I hope the voters can see through all these problems as just insignificant business reversals and see that I'm more than qualified to get on with handling the business of the city". Basically, I'm a broke ass myself who can't manage my own finances, but I'm qualified to run the biggest business in the area........ the City. The voters didn't buy it and sent her packing.

Looks like ole' Joe Liberman got the boot also. I hated it in a way because the media is making it into an anti war mandate, but DO THINK the more incumbents that get their walking papers, the better.

Now if the people of Massachussets and New York would just wise up and boot Teddy, John K, and Hillary, maybe we could get a few things straightened out.

I don't care who you are! If your in office now! You are not getting my vote! Not going to happen.

I have already had a few around me say hello I'm SO IN SO! In your district.

First, I ask them what they have done for me? They look puzzled and ask what did I expect them to do? I just look at them and say a few things, like how many new jobs? What have you done about our high sales tax on gas? Then they answer I'm on this comity and that comity and we are looking hard at it.

Then they remind me of the primary's and elections coming up. I remind them they have till then, to get what they have not done, DONE!
They say why?
Because I am not voting anyone for reelection !!!

They walk away!

True Story! Very true!

My 25 year old daughter and my Son 21 years old, are hell bent against reelecting anyone.

They even feel the same about the republican party. They have 2 questions to hit me with! WAR and the price of gas!

They have a very low trust for our leaders! See a group of collage students, ask them. Same result!

They have a very low trust for our leaders!

exactly... why should we trust our leaders? the government in place in this country right now is the most crooked in the history of the nation. They make Nixon look like an angel.

Update: Now apparently Cynthia is claiming that a member of her staff and her mother were "beat up and hurt" by a news crew from a local network news station during her defeat speech. 911 was called and according to Cynthia either her mother or the staffer required stitches. She is most likely the absolute dumbest human being ever elected to hold a national office. I'm sure that when this term is up she'll run again.

Can we get a national law that everybody running for elected office has to take an IQ test?

With a little luck, maybe she won't come back. Carol Mosely Braun finally threw in the towel on rerunning in Illinois?? The ironic thing about Teddy and Kerry, is despite all their faults, will probably never be caught with their hands in the cookie jar. THEY need more money??? DeLay is gone which can't hurt but he'll probably come back as a high paid lobbyist. Frist is a whore for campaign contributors. Come to think of it, probably 99% of those in Washington would sell us out in a heartbeat for a couple free lunches or rounds of golf from lobbyists/contributors. Quite frankly, I could care less if that 99% gets reelected. They are useless. I've never seen so much wasted time as recently to have votes on issues they know they can't get thru but to show their supporters they're doing something besides absolutely nothing which is what it amounts to anyway.
