Cowl Question for 88 200 Merc 2.4

I have an 88 Merc 200 2.4L. I have the clamshell style cowl that has the front latch and the from cover over top of the latch. I am considering putting a Simon alternator on but I understand that I need to change the cowl. What options do I have as to what I can use. Will an alien style cowl fit my motor or would I have to modify in some way to make it work. My style cowl has no bottom pan so I am not sure how that would all go together. Anh info is apprecited.

Alian cowl will work after you remove the powerhead and install the bottom pan.

Thanks. That's pretty much what I thought just wasn't 100% sure. Sounds like a bit of work. Thinking about pulling the powerhead this fall to have some mods done so that will probably be when I do it.
