I had (my first new car) 1980 Turbo TransAM, 301 sucked , but it was a great car, T-Tops Charcoal with ivory interor.

Wife had a 1981 Z-28, silver with the Crome interior. We do miss that ride!

That hood decal was (or should have been) the object of ridicule for every Trans Am owner out there -- especially since you could get one without it..

Big Al where did you get that Sunkisst "back in the day"? My dads cousin (Bodie Council) built the Sunkisst's in Memphis and our entire family raced them from coast too coast, I spent ALOT of time in that old shop off Jackson Ave. in Memphis as a kid. My uncle (Porter McFarland) used to have a marine dealership in Memphis and sold "turn key race jets" and sold TONS of them nationwide during the 70s. Man them days was the "golden age" of squirtboats. I was born in 71 so I was a little farker back in them days, but I remember many of em. I still remember going to the Brazos river (Aquafest) in Waco when I was only 3. The last Sunkisst my dad had was about a 78-79ish "gullwing" hull. Tunnels were relatively new but had just about taken over the "superfast" classes about then.
