Thanks for the help with the D50 & laptop purchase. Can't wait to get my hands on them in a few months.

Would like for the new camera to accept loose AA cell batts & take the Fuji film XD picture card as I've got a couple of them.

I've got a three year old Fuji A210 thats time to retire. I got this one on sale at the exchange for $250 but hate it since day one. Normal outdoor pics are ok as long as the subject isn't moving. Indoor shots are a friggin' hassle messing with the flash etc. Cycles take forever from pic to pic.

Need the new camera to accept this card:

at 250 your going to have a good deal of trade offs to account for. do you want zoom [ 10x], shutter lage, very good pics or so so. the best advice is to go to a couple web site and do some reading.

the last site actual measures the shutter lag time.

i've had good luck with the olumpus 750, canons, and a pentex 4si, but they dont even compare to my nikon d1x or d100.
