gear ratio 250xs

running a torque master gearcase on a 250xs how can i find out what gear ratio is in it. also wondering if a sportmaster will pick me up any mph. its on a 20 lake and bay

Torque master has the 1.75 gear ratio.

On My 21 Skater with a PM 300 I lost 3 MPH when I switched from a TM to SM. The TM had a nose cone and it was rebuilt with 1.62 gears the same at my sporty so other than the nose cone it was an even comparison. Dean

Yes, a TM with a Tooters Nosecone is faster than a Sporty. TM on a 3 liter is 1.75 to 1, on a 2.5 it would be 1.87 to 1.
