Howdy! Nice to find a site with a lot of outboard info. I have a '01 22' warlock sxt cat with a 300x and love my cruising prop but am looking for the best top end prop to help spank my buddies jet boats even worse. I was looking at a cleaver or a chopper. Previous owner has a 24p labbed chopper for sale but I think he is over priced at $800. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i think it's way too small for atp end prop. you need something like a 30p et or a drag 4.

Sorry for my ignorance, et, drag 4? Are these choppers. Last boat was a 21' bayliner and aluminum worked just fine.

These are different styles of props the Drag 4 is a Yamaha style prop with four blades many manufactures have done a copy of this prop. It usually is a smaller diameter and works great in the 3 blade version on most light to moderate weight tunnels yours not incl. a 4 blade might work well 30 pitch should be right on as even in the 4 blade version they slip more at all speeds. I just tried a 3 blade version on my skater, big mistake could barely get on plane 4 would have been the ticket. The ET is a mercury variation on the cleaver style prop Hill makes a copy and other custom cut them from choppers if the high price of merc props is a hinderance. My experience on a heavier 21+ tunnel is you would like a cleaver better seem to get out of the hole better. Another suggestion would be a Mazco, I believe it is a RE-4 28-30 pitch got to use one once on mine was great bottom to top. Heavier SOB tunnels seem to really like 4 blade props bottom to top.
