If anyone here gets the Sleuth channel, the much-discussed episode of Miami Vice with the Action/Bayliner boat chase comes on at 2AM ET.

I saw it yesterday. I thought it was some kind of hydrostream. Must have ran out of wellcrafts that day.

Somehow, I'm going to have to get that episode. To this day, I would have sworn that was a Ventura. But I guess if it was, it would have caught the Bayliner:p ( Can't wait to here Jim's response to that comment:eek: )

It was an Action. I remember seeing the pictures of Crockett and Tubbs riding around in it at the old Action Marine warehouse. It did have a Yammy too.:(

They also had some mock up, thinly laid up, dummy boats to blow up. My grandfather rented property on the Miami river to a company called Moby Marine. They were a salvage company that used to set up the marine stunts for Miami Vice and used their barges for the camera crews to film from. They had a yard full of mock up Scarabs and other boats. They would blow em up, fix em and use em again. They had one 31' Chris Cat. When I was in my teens I used to crawl all over those boats and dream!!!

I have not heard much great about the new Miami Vice movie. They really should have made a movie not long after the show ended, with much of the original cast.

I have the first season on DVD, going to get the second some time. Its still fun to watch. It has that big boat race to some island with the 50' carry or whatever going fast and the scarab. That big boat going fast in a race was kind of corny.

That Episode was... The Great McCarthy. The 50 Cary had quad Mercruisers. Also the boat used was the 39 Stinger at that time. Saw that Saturday while it was pouring rain out.

Anyone know which episode Crockett took off in the 18 or 21 Talon Outboard?

anybody see the new miami vice movie from last year? i think i remember seeing some scenes using some current offshore boats like "HULK" and 1 other o/b powered cats? lots of other boats too. fun out :cool:

What about the episode after he defected to the other side ( as in drug runner) and escaped from a mega yacht onto to v bottom with a V8 just before the yacht blew up.
I remember it driving away, way over trimmed yet the bow of the tub barely lifted?

I didn't know that my motor was legendary!! Awesome. And yup, that Talon is badass...
