Hey guys, I'm posting this to see if you guys can give me any ideas. Here's my starting setup
1992 20ft XRD bullet (roughly 1050lbs i think)
1998 200 efi merc.
27' SRX
10 inch rapid jack
2 inches below pad

Just got my stock lower unit back from Titus who put on a cone and torque tab. With two people (fishing loaded) the boat got a touch slower with noticeable less bow lift ( kinda felt like I was plowing). Switched to a 28 drag 4 which in my opinion just ran like a turd (even less bow lift and cavitation coming out of hole). Ive raised the motor about 2 inches in 1/2 inch increments which seemed to run faster, however the bow lift continues to be a problem (SRX raised it better).

With the original setup with just one person the boat seem to run great (good bow lift) and much much faster. So here's my questions?
1) do I need more setback (?adding 2 inch spacers)?
2) better prop?
3) raise engine heigher (what water pressure should i get worried?

Any help you guys could give would be appreciated, I'm sure there is alot that I'm missing. thanks

You may contact Paul Nichols about this> He hold a couple of speed records in bullets. He is PNichols on the board. you may also go to Bulletowners.com and they have a set up section there and you may find you same boat that someone else has already found out the formulat to speed. Also post where you are. You may have many people around you that can help.
