40 horse evinrude 1992?

She been sitting for 3 years had to replace filter fuel tank oil tank and all lines. I thought i was getting luck she fired right up but dies after about 5 seconds. It has electric choke and will stay running if every couple of seconds i hit the scock switch but wont run on her own any ideas????

In all likelyhood the carbs are all gunked up from the fuel going stale from sitting for 3 years. Pull them all apart (including top core plugs if equipped), soak everything in Engine Tuner, install new carbs kits are you're probably good to go.
