Will Nicky be able to do it this year? Dang I hope so. Be nice to see an American wear the crown again. Besides, that boy has worked his tail off but what kind of support is Honda giving him? Its almost like they treat him like a step child.
Don't get me wrong, I like Rossi. But its almost funny to see the way things are unwinding for him this season. Just like Schumacher in F1 (pardon while I puke) its time for a change.
I'd really like to see Hopper make a good finish this year too. Seems Suzuki is getting it together & making some power for him.

I think a lot is going to change next year when they switch over to the new 800cc motors, I guess Rossi just signed another year with Yammi too....should be cool to watch it unfold

Maybe I'm wrong, but the idea was to slow them down a little ? They're saying that the new 800 machines are rediculous fast.
What about the 990 restrictor plate racing for the smaller teams. I'm for it as long as its fair across the board for everyone.

Yeah I agree, the 800cc bikes are going to be explosive in power like the older 500cc smokers...I think they should keep the displacement the same and restrict them to a 4spd trans that way the bikes have to be tuned for maximum torque and they will have a smooth, wide powerband
Enjoy watching Rossi while you can.. You'll be able to say you saw the best ever. I'm a Nicky Hayden fan, but if everything is equal Rossi beats him 8 times out of 10. No disgrace there, he does it to everybody. If Hayden wants to make his mark, he better do it this year or next.. Winning the championship in 2008 -- after Rossi is gone (if he is) -- is just gonna mean you're second best. Really, you gotta like Rossi.. He's nowhere near as arrogant as he could be -- considering how good he really is. If he stayed in MotoGP, he could possibly win 10 more World Championships.... and we could all fall asleep watching. Him going to (I hope) F1 will be good for both series'.. And I would love to see him shut up Alonso..

I don't see Rossi going to F1, but I do agree with you on all accounts that he his hands down the greatest ever on two wheels.
I root for ANY of the Americans up there, especially Nicky.
Did anyone see that wild finish to Assen a couple weeks back......Edwards and Hayden battling for the finish??? That had to be one of the greatest last laps to any race I have ever witnessed.
I wish I was headed to Laguna Seca this year!

I was there last year and it was great! kind of wish i would have gone again, but too much going on. Im a Yamaha fan since about 90, so its been a great couple of years for sure. Id like to see a 1-2 finish this weekend with both bike up on the podium. Collin needs his first win, but thats a tall order for him and he has the flu on top of it. The 800 rule was a big mistake that cost everybody millions. I agree some type of restricture is all they need or 4 speed trannys and they are talking about using that for satalite teams with limited cash. Suzuki has really improved, glad to see it. The racing is the closest in years, but its alays great, no better racing in the world as far as im concerned!!!

I was lucky enough to go and it was great. A customer of mine gave me two tickets to the VIP village in the Amped Mobile suite. It was incredible. The suite was first class. It was catered by a five star restaurant. We had breakfast, lunch, desserts, snacks, air conditioning, open bar, and our own umbrella girls. It was unbelievable. I took about 250 pics and over 20 video clips. I'll post the link to where they are when I get them all downloaded. We were able to go on a guided pit walk. Mini Me was in the suite. WOW is he small. Oh, we also saw some lower level celebes like Fabio, Pam Anderson, the host of X-games, the owner of West Coast Customs and Matt Lablonk. I met the owner of Amped Mobile and he is like 25 years old. Must be nice to be so young and so rich. Anyway, good times.

I thought the same thing until a few weeks passed by and they went to Sashenring. WOW !!!!! Nicky, Dani, Valentino, and Marco. All four claimed positions 1,2,3,and 4 at one point or another. multiple position changes, including the lead. Then the last corner of the race 1st and 2nd side by side 3rd and 4th side by side, right on 1st and 2nd's back tires. This is by far the best season of moto gp in more than 10 years. Even when Valentino's winning, he's not winning by 30 seconds anymore like he did in years past. I hated seeing bim lose a motor at the end of the race, pretty well knocked him out of contention for this year. Even though I want Nicky to win the championship, you hate to see it come at the expense of things like that.
No kidding about Rossi. I was pissed when his motor blew. I think he could have made his way up to at least third and maybe second at the pase he was running before the motor gave him issues. It will suck not having him in contension. I bought a Rossi hat at the race and it has seven stars on the side for his championships. Pretty impressive. However, I as well want to see Nicky to it.

I'm working on it. It will be done shortly.
Ok, I have downloaded them all to Webshots. I'm not sure how to link then from here. I looked and can't figure it out. However, I'll leave the link I was at when I finished. I hope it works.

The best thing I have from the race is a bunch of really cool videos. I tried to download them on webshots and there was an error. Do you know where I can download the video and put a link on here?

You can upload your videos to any of these sites-

Do that for sure. I've been to the 500. But, not the F1. I've always wanted to see those cars. They are the best of the best. Do you know how I can download my video to a link?

The easy way, with the biggest allowable file is at www.yousendit.com .
Just go to the site put in a phony e-mail address in the recipient box. You don't have to fill out any of the other stuff. Go down and click the browse button, find your vid in the popup window, click it, then hit the "send it" button.
Once it's fully uploaded it will give you a link to the file on yousendit.com. Copy this link and paste it over here.

True.
As a champion a certain amout of cockiness is needed to keep the fire on the others. I'd almost call him a class act, but would rather state that he's got to be one of if not the most talented rider in the world.
Sete & Rossi battles. There have been a few times when Rossi straight hijacked the guy & got a mild tounge lashing afterwards. Show a wheel, but don't take the guys line. With the limited number of races I get to watch I can remember at least two where it his over agressiveness left you shaking your head that they would'd call a foul on him. Keep in mind that most of my resources come from magazines and net.
RC51, you lucky Mo'Fo'. :D
peace.
