Can anyone tell me if a 2.5 powerhead can be mounted onto a 2.4 mid. section? I have a complete 1988 200 hp. 2.4 motor and a 2.5 powerhead that needs rebuilding and would like to swap the powerheads after I rebuild the 2.5.

all will work. get yourself a 2.5 powerhead gasket and lay it on your 2.4 adaptor you will see the exhaust mismatch. open up your 2.4 exhaust and drop that hoss on.
you will need to open up front of exhaust cavity.
better would finding yourself a one piece adaptor and open it up

actually my 2.5 block had to be opend up on the bottom exhaust ports to match my 2.4 1 piece plate the holes in the bottom were smaller than the 2.4 but this is not a 260 horse and up motor, it's a carbed 2.5 so check the block and the mid-plate to see which one goes under the knife ;)

Better check the exhaust opening alignment on every powerhead chang ya make...hell, the exhaust needs matching on the original powerhead/exh.plate ...a 150 2.0 haz bigger exhaust than a 200 PM...You figger...REX
