I need some honest opinions here. I have a 89' V-King yt with a 280hp Merc drag ss this boat absolutly flys! This is my 2nd Hydrostream (first being a 78' vector with a 115 Merc tower of power) I have a friend who wants a Hydrostream and he wants to know (from someone other than me) which is easier to drive a mod vp hull like the yt or a pad v. I have been telling him that with enough seat time they are both great to drive with the right set up. But personally I think the seat of your pants feeling you get in the yt feels safer than a pad v. I know everyones opinions are different so lets hear them . Thanks

...a good running Pad V takes a bit of a learning curve to master. I think some of the ModVP 'Streams drove/drive like a pad V anyway, the outer sponsons are actually clear of the water at speed, but I could be wrong, or at least making a blanket statement that is only partially correct.

I had a ZT bottom Hydrostream Virage. It was easier to drive than any of the 4 pad V bottoms that I have driven (SS2000, Charger, Tuff, Voo Doo).

No war is necessary. It is just a matter of personal preference. I've had both and I like both.
