Tahiti 19ft?? Got potentail??? pics

Hey anyne know anything about this boat? My brother has a 15 ft one but this one is 19 I think, I'n going to go look at it tomorrow, You guys think it would make a good center steer, drag boat??? I need all the info I can get on it, I can get it for 500.00, just boat and steering.

My 1973 16' tahiti jet didn't have a pad,it was rounded but ran 78 with a 454 450hp LS6.Another guy had a 18or19' tahiti with a 460 and it might have run 60. You might want to weigh it to see what your dealing with.You say your bro has a 15' ?? I heard of a 16/15' that had a pad added that ran very strong with an outboard. For $500 should still be a fun boat.:cool:

Well I know somewhere around 1975 I was approched from behind by 2 Hydrostreams with 235's as I as running in some washing machine water and when I mashed it they did everything but blow over trying to hang.Once we got in smoother water they had a couple mph on me and one pulled across my bow and roosted me good.I spanked them so bad with my jet they didn't try it again.They would try to cross me and I would turn way faster than them so they would slow down and I put a hurtin on'em hehe.They went to run but when they got back in the rough I was faster so they stopped and one of them took off his T shirt and waved surrender.There's always been a misconception about the speed of a jet boat but there are some real life lessons to be learned form a handfull of guys in this town.I like outboards but I also know the fastest OB can meet his match.If you ever run across a 16' Tahiti OB fo sale let me know.

racemore Areyou talking about his boat, this is the before shot of my brothers, he sold it last week for 3500, it has a custom paint job and all new interior, it was a nice ride, I have a 1984 2.0 150 the boy that bought it is wanting it to put on it, it has a 1997 or so 125 force on now..

The 16 looks like a Sidewinder with a flat deck and is angled at the transom.I'll be back!!
