I hope you guys can give me some advice. I have purchased a 1994 Astro FSX20 with a 1994 XRI200. The boat is mint!
No jackplate
3 blade S.S. 24P x 14.25
Trimmed up RPM'S 6100
Speed 59.8MPH GPS.
The book tells me that this motor (stock) should be running 5600RPM.
Am I right in thinking that I'm out of the power band?
I would like to bring the RPM'S down some
I have a 3 blade 25P x 14.5 to try, But I don't think that it will bring the RPM's down that much.
I see lots of guys running the XRI'S running this type of RPM if not more. This is a stock motor and I would like it to last. On a stock XRI what type of RPM'S are you guys running and the motor staying together.
