Meet @ Tanner Park at 10 a.m. Monday (monitor this post till then). Head over to Short Beach to meet up with fellow S.O.B.'s . Check out the conditions outta JonesInlet. If O.K...make the run. Limit it to S.O.B's 21' - 24' only....including those "ruff water" 21 Skaters.

The ocean is still a bit rough but will be winding down over the next day or two but with those summertime S winds picking up sunday through mid week it may be a bit to rough.Especially with the lingering wind & Ground swell currently in the water. Best bet is to check the following websites and plan accordingly for such an event :
http://seaboard.ndbc.noaa.gov/data/Forecasts/FZUS51.KOKX.html
http://seaboard.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=44025
http://buoyweather.com/wxnav6.jsp?region=NE&program=nww3BW1&grb=wna&latitude=40.5&longitude=-73.5&zone=-4&units=e
Their calling for 4 foot seas for monday. Which is to rough for a 21 and maybe even a 24

There is usually a reason why I end up doing this run by myself......
- I think if Maureen wants to get good video the jetti is the spot to be! I'm serious. Otherwise its just gonna be too bouncy. I'm up for just doing some jumping in the inlet for the cam as well. The 21's-22's wont be pressured into making the trek out in the ocean.... since all but P.B. & S.J. havent responded anyway.
FM & 100+ good to see you guys are in too !http://img439.imageshack.us/img439/5500/sasmokin8yv.gif (http://imageshack.us)

LOL, no payment necessary :p :p
I'll basically be shooting video and taking pics wherever I go, so all anyone needs to do is show up. Greg's doing video in FL too so we'll have a lot of variety.
I already have footage from the Blingfest, River Ranch and Tanner. I took some video for Mike at the Rondak Romp and he has that tape.
Have cameras, will travel :D

What can I say? It didn't look that deep! :p :p
It was worth it though - I got some nice shots off the jetty, and on the way back we caught up with Sean in his new Venus and I taped some good passes.
Next time I'll head all the way out on the jetty - it's a perfect spot for wave jumping.:)
Next time I'll also be more patient and maybe not get quite as wet :D.

I never made it home under my own power . Had to call seatow. Left short beach got to the L3 bridge and the alarms started wailing. I am not pumping water. Flushing didnt help, I'll be calling Ocean marine on Wed. morning.I love boating

It is always worth the effort. 4 th of july and the boat doesnt run.Seatow wont do a dock to trailer or dock to dock tow today(dont really blame them,no problem the rest of the week). I am living vicariously through EdyT today. great photo!I guess that was before Maureen was on the jetty.

what happened to it ?
not pumping water .flushing the lower unit didnt help. going to flush the upper motor. I was running in Jones inlet with bash and ed ,and had no problems . Went back to short beach and hung out on the beach. The boat bounced at anchor but I never saw it bang the lower unit into the bottom.Left the beach hit the throttle ,in about 45 sec. the alarms went off ,I shut it down pretty quickly because I dont recall the guardian mode kicking in.I went overboard and poked at the water intake until I could tell they were clear. It still didnt pump water.

hey arrowaves, your gearcase was in the sand for a minute or two while you pulled up your anchor. not much seaweed there that day. thanks maureen and bash, it was nice to meet you guys and gal. there was some big rollers just off the jetty that day 5-6ft. big air. let me know when you do another ocean run or wave jumping. thanks ED
