how do i use this dva adapt. high speed seems to be good low speed seems way off rapair says 5800-7000 igot 254 this is at idle

The DVA is used to read voltage, sounds like that 5800-7000 spec your mentioned is OHMS. Low speed voltage is going to be in the neighborhood of 160-200...high speed will be slightly higher.

thot that was it but why does rapair have you check hs & ls diff. what should hs be should all these be tested at idle

You have to follow the directions exactly or the test means nothing. You have two circuits for each switch box, the high speed and the low speed. If the motor is not reved up the high-speed circuits are not even working.
