Ummmmmm I would like to know also Bttt
what I do know Nick is that you should look at the taper for the prop shaft..There should be a small ( very small) shoulder at the top of the taper when the top edge gets sharp it means the wash is worn....

the discussion I remember concerned the closeness of the prop to the gearcase!

I have found NO HP differnces in a thrust washer...I have thick ones, thin ones, tapered ones, SS ones, brass ones...I have talked to sum race'in type guyz and wuz told how tha thick ones would run better on top because ov move'in tha prop away from tha geer case...in my opinion, and experiments, BAHH HUMBUG!!...If it fits the prop, ain't gualded ta hell an back, and tha prop don't hit tha case, U good to go....They iz a differnce in taper in sum ov tha washers, but I have yet to find one that didn't work...Juss my very unprofessional opinion!!

If it fits the prop,
If the prop is one that alows the washer to fit in it, then it should fit fairly snug(these props use stepped washers....I have props that are flat wher they hit washer, and ov corse it juss buts up aginst it...diffrent props take diffrent size washer flanges, so the manufacture ov the prop kan provide the right washer....It ain't a one washer fit all deel!!!

You had the right one last night. You have to tighten your prop once and a while:) The Flo-Torque assembly can not slip so the wear you saw was from on again off again.
I am fully equipped for Round II tonight:D

That's what I have always done...But it seem lately that I never have the correct washer..... So I guess it's a good time to take stock in washers again......with the way I try props I like to have the correct stuff
