88 Merc 175 on 18' Rapidcraft???

How many rpms would this stock motor be good for? Im running a 25 spinelli chopper right now around 64-6700. should I be running a 27 pitch chopper?

Jeff, good talking with you on the phone. I think you'll like the 27 SRX we talked about. I turn mine 5700-5800 with the 150 so even if you twist it 6000 you'll be fine, but if you can do it with your jackplate it might be worth trying a 29 also if you get a chance. Can't guarantee you'll like the 27 as much as I like mine, every boat and driver is different, all I know is I've tried a number of props and for the money it sure runs nice. If you get one and it doesn't work, they are not hard to sell at all. Keep me posted.
