I have a 2.0l engine age unknown, the block has an oil pump fitting but the crank must older as it does not have the drive facility. My question is, I want to fit a 40 Amp charge system , will a 40 Amp flywheel fit my crank? I want to make sure I get this right as it is going to be shipped from the US to the UK

Thanks in advance Karl

Most all V-6 Mercury flywheels will interchange you will need to match the correct stator to the mating flywheel ... The 40 amp stators and flywheels are taller than some others. Also some of the 2.4's had water cooled electrical parts that bolted into the rear divider chest for cooling purposes to reduce heat in the high amperage charging systems......

Good luck,

Thanks Jay, I already have the stator and 2 air cooled reg's, just wasn't 100% about mechanical side.
Thanks again
