Need some prop recomendations for my V-king.
It has a 2.4 some mods with a 1 peice exh plate
and a 4 hole cle.
I moved the batt to the front along with an extra
10 gal tank.
I have a 8" detwiler hydro jack i know it maybe too
much set back but its staying on at this time.
Any input would be great.

On mine I ran 14 x 28 and a 14 x 30 3 blade choppers. Both were Mercury props. the 30 had a little more rake and the boat was a lot looser. With the 30" I could run low 90's with a modified 2.4. I was running about 6" of setback. I personally would have kept the battery and tank in the back.

Tank(s) and battery should be in the back. If you need the 10 gallon tank, will it fit in the back?

All the tanks and the battery should be in the back. That way you can run a Cleaver to lift the stern and the bow will be light and won't need much lift.

battery and tank in back with 6" set back and 30" cleaver and you will be close.

What size cleaver do you run?

Jerry, agreed with the others - battery should be aft, on the port side. The fuel tank should be back there too. No extra weight up front.
For top speed, run a Mercury cleaver - assuming a 1.87:1 ratio, a 14.5 x 28 should be good. Run the propshaft 1.5 inches above the pad and work your way up from there.

i 6th that setup.... take both tanks out throw both away or sell and replace with tempo 26 gallon plastic, fits under deck no problem and place battry directly infront of that does require either small battery or moving rear seat forward the battery width but adds otherstorage as well.. on my valero even with a 28 trophy (only prop i have at this moment big enough) im 1.75" above pad and have seen 84 mph with alot more still to be had... 90+ is in her and so you should be even closer to 90+... if not over by a few or more...
