At what RPM should a 225 Optimax Pro XS should be propped at?? The range is from 5500 to 6000 and the limiter is set to 6300. Should it be in the lower, middle or upper range of it?? My set up can hit the 6000 mark... Just curious to know where the power curve show the most HP.

5800-6000rpm after that your just out runnin the port timein, foot lbs and hp
will fall hard after 6000:cool:

Alot will depend on your setup. What boat you have. What prop you are running now. How fast you are running now. Hows you holeshot.

It's on a 21 ft bay boat. Does 62 @6000 with a 21 Tempest. Thought about turning it up one inch... but wanted to see where the peak power was at prior to doing it.

HP peak is at 5750. If your hole shot is good, sounds like you should try a 23.
