Progression in the NADA Book??

Hey Everyone,

I'm trying to secure financing for a boat and my bank says that Progression is not in the NADA book, which is what they use to determine value. EVERYTHING else seems to be in there! Are they under another name or something?

No they are not. Progression is considered a custom boat so they do not appear in the NADA guide. If the bank or your Ins. company has an issue, they should call Kevin at Progression and ask the value. He is very helpful, and you can get their # from the web site. I had a similar situation a few years ago when I was considering a Progression. Boat US called Kevin ( the builder) and the problem was solved. Dam I wish I bought that boat !

a friend of mine has the info on a disk , not sure what it is from but he gave me the value of the one i just bought . if you give me the year i will find out for you .

I had a similiar situation a few yrs ago and had to have the manufacture talk to the lender to give a value for the boat.

Liberator has been around since the late 70's, but just put them in NADA in 2004. My Rallysport is'nt in there either. Alot of low volume builders aren't in there. I know the reason Liberator never put their's in, is because you'd have a value for a single 225 powered 21ft, and a custom twin was worth twice as much, but the book did'nt show it. You may have to get a marine appraisal. They cost at least $400 down here.

hey speedemon, i just bought a 24 progression and a couple of banks gave me the same problem they told me to get the boat surveyed. but i ended up using first commercial (sovereign bank) 6.95% no book value or survey required. good luck ED

this weather sucks, I would be up for an inlet to inlet run So far I have only done it twice out Jones and in Rockaway ,out Jones and in Fire Island. FI inlet is tough so many fish boats in the way. Ed call me on a wed. if you want to run out to tanner.639 2303

Monday or Tuesday morning would work for me. It'll depend on the condition at Jones Inlet if we're gonna head out. I went out Tuesday on the ski. The rollers were 12' & coming in fast & hard. There is no way I woulda took the boat thru it.
Me & whoever else wants to leave from Tanner. We could all meet up at the Meadowbrook & then make our decison. Worse comes to worse we dont go & we just hang out or cruise back.
We"ll see how the weekend goes.
