I'm So Confused

225 Pro Max with WH 22 Carb's, no black boxes.
High idle (1000+) and left bank running significantly cooler than the right.
- Checked the carbs, intake for air leaks;
- Adj carb butterflies;
- Retarded idle timming as far as physically possible;
- Switched stator leads, left side still cool;
- Changed swith boxes;
- Checked spark on all the plug wires, all good.

Next step new drop on.
