A Friend Of Mine Bought A Boat On The West Coast And The Salesman He Bought It From Said He Would Have It Delivered Halfway, That Was The Liberator Factory. Long Story Short, The Owner And His Wife Made Nothing On The Deal And Had Nothing To Gain But Were Some Of The Nicest Easy Going Folks To Deal With That I Have Ever Met(and We Were There all Day!!). They Treated Us Great And Like We Were Family, I Cant Believe They Would Treat A Paying Customer Any Less!! I Havent Even Ridden In One Of Their Boats But Their Operation Looked Great And All Of Their Boats Looked To Be Put Together Very Well.truly Good Folks Trying To Build A Great Product Not Just Get Rich. Just My 2 Cents.

I will tell you one thing, when we were at Clarks Hill Lake, we ran some of the roughest water I had ever been in. We were in a 27' Cougar MTR with twin 300x's. We ran what felt like 10 miles but was more like 4-5 in four to five foot rollers that were beating the crap out of us. We ran side by side with a new 26 DCB that was taking water over the front. We could see Randy Corson about 50 yards from us launching his 21 with twins over the same water we were running at about the same speeds. I was certain that he would have some serious problems from that run and walked up the hill later that evening to check out the damage on his 21 Liberator. To my absolute amazement, the boat was in perfect condition. I do know that when he orders them from Liberator, he has them "beefed" up to handle just about anything. I was sure that I was going to see some huge cracks that evening, but the boat showed no signs of the water he had just run. Ask anyone that was there. It was as rough as anything I had ever been in.

Lee is correct. It was soooo rough most all the small boats turned around and went back to the ramp. Randy was haulin azz and slamming the hell out of that boat but I didn't go look at it after running them. We had an Allison bass boat crack the gell where the deck met the hull. I thought my chit was gonna break in half and I was just trying to make it. BUT, It won't be that rough this weekend:D

thank you for the stories, it sounds like you get a good product made by great people. Are there any LIberator owners that can attest to the ride of the boat? Thank you

Let me start by saying I have a 22' Donzi Classic (For Sale) which was fine till I saw and went for a ride in a 21' Liberator which Randy rigg and setup. The workmanship and attention to detail is great. As you can see from the pictures the outboard really runs. He meet me half way in Atlanta and I took it to Kentucky lake on the way back to Michigan we had 4 people in the boat and at least 2' waves it ran 85 and still had a lot left. I live on a small inland lake that has which normaly has a lot of confussed water the boat rides so good even my wife likes to go for rides something she wouldn't do in the Donzi. From what I've been told Randy's boats are a little different than the ones the factory supplies a little heaver in construction which may be why it rides so good. I you have any questions call me 734 729 6400

Once you take a ride in one of these boats you will be sold. I have owned various go fast V hulls over the last 20 years from 15 to 42 feet long and have never been so happy with the ride and performance of a boat.

The lake I run on seems to constantly have 1-2 foot of chop and after the wakeboarders get going it's a real mess. The boat handles anything you can throw at it. The best way to describe the ride is at 40 it mows down the chop and at 60 it transitions from a boat to a wing flying over the top of the mess.

I have a 19 month old daughter that loves it. I feel confident with her on board and will cruise leisurely at 30-40 without the bumps and jolts that v-hulls give. The additional freeboard of the liberator also gives excellent protection from the wind. Spray is nonexistent. You will not get wet in reasonable conditions.

For your dealer I recommend Randy Corson in Florida. Search for my previous post titled "Just bought Randy's purple liberator" for the complete details of my transaction.

Best regards, Ken

Be cautious....... I know a guy in the Michigan Hot Boat Association that has a Liberator that was built in Texas... had transom issues. Also there was trailer problems even though it has nothing to do with the boat.Although it probably put a negative perspective on the purchase.

For what it's worth, all my Liberators are built for twins, which makes the transoms extra strong. I also have one extra layer of glass put in all my boats. Maqkes them ride alot better and does'nt seem to slow them down. Also, all my boats come with aluminum trailers too. The Merc 300's are good for 104 mph. A 500 hp jet will not even get you 80. Here's some outboard GPS pics.

mmmmm, to bad I did not know wildman first. The engine is a blown 502.
the builder Dave says it will be in the 90'S, the boat is being built in the texas plant dont like the fact that your buddy had problems with the transom. What kinds of problems did he have? But I can say this it is sure taking alot of time to build. It looks as if he is real busy. Thank you all for the great stories, all and all it looks as if I made a great choice in boats especially for my first. Wildman do you build your own hulls or does dave build them in Texas?

I get the bare hulls from Dave and do everything else myself. Yeah, he's busy allright. He's building four more 21's for me now. I know he's doing alot of jets too. I just got off the phone with him a couple minutes ago. He did mention that he's finishing up a blown jet. That must be yours. Good luck with it.

Call Dave and have him build it like this 21' V drive. This is the only one I know of but it was a serious war horse, 125+.

Nope, no warning. I know he's trying to get a few out by the fourth of July. I don't know if yours is one of them though.

dont you worry about the quality of the boat, i have a 1998 21 liberator, and it looks like the day it came out of the mold, no transome problems and not a stress crack anywhere on the boat.

Mine is 5 years old, has had everything from a Johnson 225 to a 300 Merc clamped on it, been all over the country in all types of water, 3 owners and on top of all that been violated by Randy at 104 MPH and there are no cracks anywhere.

Pete,

Small world huh?

When you launch at Larry's look to the south 12 houses. My 21 is on the lift in front of the blue/white house. I will be around all weekend. I've got a tieup marked with a white bouy. Stop in for a pop or a cold one. Mostly sand on the bottom with an occasional rock so watch the zebra mussels on the toes.

I have a 1997 built by Dave and the hull is still in excellent condition. It has a 454 with bravo outdrive. The boat handles like a dream in chop. So far so good but had some issues with water getting back into the motor because of the type of exhaust and cam overlap, but dont know for sure if that was Daves mistake or the original owner.
