Laser 2 Vs. Tempest

I am running a Laser 2 now and have a chance to buy a Tempest at a good price and I'm wondering what the performance difference might be between these props of the same pitch? Does one have more lift than the other Etc.? Thanks

The diameter is the biggest difference between the Laser II and Tempest. Laser II was designed for light weight shorter hulls with smaller power, the Tempest for longer hulls with bigger power. But, always try everything you can get your hands on!!!!!

Laser II works real well on 16'-18' v-bottom checkmate and hydrostream with v4 or 150 v6 power, whereas the Tempest likes the 20' boats with 225's....................

I'm kind of right in the middle with an 18' tunnel and a 200 HP. I may just give it a try if the price is right.

you really need to give it a try. i have a 23 lazerII and a 24 tempest and prefer the tempest. 20' voyager and 200efi and 200xs.
