Does anyone make motor mounts that are more rigid than stock but not solid? Thanks,Tom
sems like some urethane bushings would be perfect for this type of request.

Put in the solid mounts. You won't even notice the difference in the vibration in the boat.

Why use a solid mount?

WHY NOT.?:D fitting the solid mounts will give a lot better feel to the steering & handling .
you will also notice any chine walkin you had be minimized.
you may feel a bit more vibration through the boat whilst ya runnin the engine wit the boat on the trailor , but once your in the water most of this seems to get absorbed.
cheers AL.
Where would I get some solid mounts? It seems my rubber broke yesterday! It's time for going solid.

Once again, I am no longer a machinist, and I miss it! I need to buy a lathe! Now, can anybody on here make me a set for an old Merc inline 1500? The ride got a bit scarry when the rubber broke apart!

Check out that link. They sell them for the inline too. Part number MISM.
Thanks Mike! I'm gonna try to talk to an old boss of mine, he might just let me have use of a machine for a while. For the time being, I'm just going to swap rams with a different motor, just so I can enjoy today! The CV16 just skips across the water with the 1500! Nothing even close to what you guys do, but now I see why you do it! Speed is addicting!
