i have an 83 16 foot baja with a 115 merc and a 6 in. jack plate, i want to go with a different prop but im not sure what to get. maybe someone can help.

I would try to borrow some props to try, and never turn down the offer of a prop to try, especially if it's for sale. I would guess you might like a 22 to 25 pitch inline chopper, depending on the weight and load of your boat. You didn't mention whether or not you have a LWP.
