Does the new optimax 200XS sst run RH or LH powerhead? How is it done that it runs a MK 6 with LH props? Is it the engine or gearbox?

Powerhead turns right. Gearcase is right in, left out.

can a mk6 "left in left out" gearcase be modified to "right in left out" ?

At best its a gear set change. At worst its some machining and gear set and shafts. I'll check at work tomorrow.

The answer is....

New gear set, two new spacers, different water pump plate, and someone to set it up correctly for right in input (VERY IMPORTANT)
