Sign of the times...

...and the year is about 1962. I got this from a good friend. It's been hanging inside a dealer's building since they moved locations in 1973 and took it down from their old location. They are out of business now and I managed to negotiate the sign. It's going to make a sweet addition to the future Merc display.

It only has one little bullet hole in it---probably from an irate Evinrude fan...

scott , i have to same sign , but the next logo up , i light it up in the garage at night , mine says mercury outboards in red and black .

Nice. I'm planning to backlight this one as well. Ultimately, I'd like to have a display area for 7-10 special inline sixes and some other things as well.
