I have owned several boats in my day, Hustlers, Eliminators, older hydrostreams, checkmates....etc. I have to say that my new venom is by far one of the most fun boats I have ever been in. By the end of the day we were going accross lake george Ny in fairly rough conditions at close to 80 mph... We were crossing wakes from other boats that would have flipped my velaro and the venom did not even flinch, after a few hours of getting the feel of the boat we were crushing cruiser wakes at 60mph... We did several top speed runs and all the passes were over 98mph and the best was 99.8mph. this is with 2 250lbs guys in the boat with jackets and helmuts. I think there is more there, can't wait to try some different props, we will be doing that tomorrow. I will also say that there was not one second were the boat scared me, we could have pushed it much harder but it was my first day in the boat. My overall impression of the boat is that it is awsome and I can't wait till tomorrow.
