I never knew that resin bonded to clay. I spent most of the day removing the plug - not the mold from the plug but the plug from the mold!
I fortunately considered this in building it but only gave it a slight consideration. I was lucky and some of the nuts on the threaded rods stuck to the plywood. I used these as jacks and the ply still hardly budged.
The screen wouldn't let go of the plywood stations and took alot of poking and prodding. Since I used 75 lbs of clay to build it I had 75 lbs. of clay to remove. A lot harder taking it out than slathering it on.
Not one cut from the screen and glass either! I expected a few at least.
Tomarrow I'll scrubby pad the rest of the clay out of the mold and see if it fits my 260 sitting in the living room(got it yesterday). The old cowl barely fits so this one shouuuuld.
The air horn is bigger than what was on my 2.4
