Motor starts fine, runs strong but just dies after it gets hot and will not restart untill it cools. Fuel line and pump are new. Motor is around an 88 model with 3cyl., electric start, stator, and switch box. Anyone have any suggestions on where to start (stator, switchbox, ect...) and how to test?:confused:

OK you did the 1st step. Fuel pump and line. Double check this (personal experience) and then look to the ECM. On an Evinrude I had I had the same exact problem. The "expert" said my problem was the ECU so I paid $100 for a new one and low and behold I still had the same problem you do. What I really needed was a new diapham in the fuel pump and had to spend another $60 on a new fuel pump ( cant get just the rubber diaphram) and that fixed it.
