Very nice boat, you are going to have some wild fun in the waves. What year and power?

Man, that thing is a beast! Talk about crushing some major waves. I have always liked the lines of Midnight Expresses. Good luck!

Thanks everyone, the boat is an 87 with 1999 merc opti's purchased in 2001 and warrantied until 2007. It weighs in at 12,500 with power can carry a 1,000 gallons of fuel and is awesome in heavy seas. Still doing work, having a black reveresed arch with black bimini built and had Bob's Machine lower units put on.

I bought it in New Jersey from the second owner who has owned it since nearly new.

The original owner tells me it was a smuggler boat that came from s. florida. It originally had quad 200 mercs.

US customs did use a similar model. There are some on the market, just before I bought mine I had info from a friend that one was just seized. It sold at a closed auction in Tampa sold with quad 250 efis for 15,000:mad:

The new midnight express is a totally different boat. They bought the company and retooled the mold. U.S. Customs and Homeland Security are currently using the new with quad 4 strokes.

My boat is the old 36 cigarette wide body that made Aronow famous. It is truly the best boat I have ever owner and I have ben through quite a few.:D

Actually it's more economical than you think. I cruise all day at 40 + KNOTS ABOUT (45MPH) AND BURN APPROX 10 GALLONS A PIECE AN HOUR(30gph) So to and from the canyons 70 miles ( where I fish, not smugggle-I guess you didn't look at my screen name and figure out what I do) I will burn about 100 gallons, So I'm actually doing better than most o/b boats with twins. It's all relative to speed and this boat can do it in heavy seas all day long. And naturally I would never put 1,000 g of fuel in it unless I wanted to get across the gulf stream......., I usually keep about 100 to 200 gallons.

Enforcer2 that is pretty impressive fuel usage to speed
