Anyone with experince with this hull, I have had some problems with melting pistons. I've been running a Bob's 6" jack. Killed a 2.4 bridgeport and a 2.5 . I now have new 2.5 that has run 365hp on the dyno. I ran the boat last week and it went 100mph with the jack and the trim all the way down.. I'm nervous to jack/trim {$$$$}. I have the sportmaster gearcase with the point even with the bottom of the boat [ all the way down ]. The boat goes faster the more you bring it up. My pressure gauge was showing 15 lbs. Any ideas/ help would be great. It ran 105 mph with the 2.4 and I was hoping for more.

You are to deep with propshaft,i run my Mirage Jag RR with centerline of propshaft 2-1/4" above bottom with a nine inch setback with Sportmaster.15PSI water is plenty. The 2.5 hotrod motor is way more reliable then 2.4 in my opinoun.Make sure you have plenty of octane for your application and you are not leaning out cylinders. If you really are making 365HP you should run 120+ easily with 30 or 32 cleavor.good luck
