Hey Guys, I'm asking you guys to help me out with this one. I'm know I've read it before on these forums, but hear me out. Thanks to 1Bad67, I got this prop, and need to fit it to my hub. Do I have to drill out an inch of the splines? I have the Merc spacers, and the OMC spacers. It is the OMC shaft. I'll try to attach pics to show what I mean. Do I just take a 1inch hole saw bit and, on a drill press drill it out? Afterwards will I be able to use it on a Merc if I decide to repower? BY the way thanks for being so patient with me 1BAD67!!! Nice prop too. It'll add to the collection.

Just drill it in from the thrust washer side with the 1" drill and yes it will fit back on a Merc. I'm not sure on the exact amount to go in but I think it is around 3 1/2". One of my cleavers is an OMC prop.

Thanks, I thought that's what I remembered. 3 1/4" fom the back of the hub right? Basically take about 1 inch of splines off. That'll set the prop back right to the thrust washer right? Thanks again,

I don't think that prop will work by drilling out the splines, there will not be enough splines left in the hub. You need an aft inserted hub to be able to do what you're talking about, the one you have is inserted from the front of the prop, the hub is much shorter. You can also find a later model prop with the composite chanageable hub system & use an OMC hub kit in it.

looks like I'll have to buy a Merc then?! Haha. Is there any way of getting it rehubbed?
