Last time I'm trying to post.....Yes, I got your check and spent it. Sent props this AM UPS.

I list on Ebay: Sporting goods: Boats and Watersports: motors and Parts:parts. Over 375 props listed.

Racing Props and parts I list as Outboard Racing...use those as Key Words in searches...why mu post keep going blank, I don't know...Maybe, I haven't been using it enough...

Yes, "**** Load" of "Tomato" (Yamato Outboards) in this country...all left hand....

This new cleaver is my "BABY"... New mold...never been tested...

Yeah, I thought I had seen where some of those guys were starting to play with Cleavers.
Yep, the Yamato's ran off the 2 cyl Merc's I used to run, and the 4's that you used to run.
Was just going through some old pictures from Dayton,Ohio '89 and saw some shots I took from the turn boat off a hell of a C Mod Runabout race between a Yamato and a Merc.
Can't remember who, but back and forth all three laps!

I've heard rumors that Warren Litton began making cleavers for Stocks as early as the late 50's. Since 1987 the props Merc has supplied for D Stock (44xs) have all been cleavers.

Warren was a CRAZY SORT...married for many years..., no kids, had a body shop in Santa Ana, CA...Raced D Stock Runabout, designed and made many strange props...he made some reverse rake cleavers in an attempt to prevent blow over...He never finished them, but about 10 years ago, I was trying to buy his equipment that he'd used to work/measure props...and he showed me the props.....My dad rounded the tips off the cleaver to make the first "Cleaper" for my C runabout in 1959.

I personnally never like racing cleavers... I LIKED AREA in my race props...I know of at least two props shops right now that are working on Formula One props with round ears and more area...

Hi-Johnson made cleavers before Litton...Litton basically learned from HIGH J... (No relation to Iver Johnson of Johnson (OJ) propeller fame...) High J's were mostly inboard, becasue inboard peop had money... outboards were for poor folk...Like the Hills...my family were painters....when they were't working on boats...
