View Full Version : Suzuki Grand Vitara
Edmunds rates it up there near Toyota and Honda now. $20,100 for a good V6 SUV, I may have to pick up a used one in a year or two. They worked the flaws out in this years model, unlike other companies. I saw one the other day, they look really nice, I never thought they sell for that low though! :D

Yeah man that new Rav4 with the V6 is a hoss. It will move, and I think its awd too.
Suzuki ought to have a sweet V6, they sure have plenty of experience with engines.

Who gets 28 mpg? I've checked and the Suzuki gets 24. I think the 4 cyl. Rava gets 28????

I've looked at the larger version, the XL-7, before each of my last two car purchases. Ran nice, drove great, very practical vehicle. The 2.7 V-6 was a very smooth screamer, but I don't know if it would have the oomph to pull the boat like my inline four 2.7 Tacoma. What turned me away both times is that for a vehicle that size, there wasn't much room in the front seats. The console is very restrictive, I think my nuts would get pinched from having to keep my legs close together on a long trip. But everyone feels comfortable in different seating arrangements I guess. The salesman told me flat out that the good thing about them is that they are built in Japan and don't break like some of the Suzukis made here in the U.S. (he came right out and admitted the ones built here were not that great). Given the comfort factor, extra cost, and that I'm just a single guy, I took a pass on the three rows of seating and 20 grand price and got a regular cab Tacoma instead. But it was a darn nice vehicle overall and the Japanese ingenuity is very apparent when you look close at it.
