I have seen this a couple of times with the Eliminator Daytona Jets...

would this work on an outboard? Would it help keep from blowing over, or do OBs with trim have even better control then a jet?

The Unlimited Hydros all use them and I've seen a number of limited hydros and a couple of o/b tunnels use them. But they need to be mechanical so they respond real fast when you want the nose down. I always ran my trim on my tunnel boats with 24 volts so the motors trimmed in or out very fast.

I would think you would have to be really careful with that.If you have it at the wrong angle or trimmed to high I think you could see some ill effects. I don't see much gain with it. Most boats are designed around hydro lift and now you would be messing with aero lift, I don't know?

STVBOY,
how do you fly your RIOT?
mine likes to fly the bow,
the wing was just a thought...
I haven't really got it to settle and run flat; "like I have been told to get them to run right on the top end..."
how do you have yours setup?
setback?
lower unit?
prop shaft height?
prop?
rpm/speed?
thx.sid

Daytona's have too much aerodynamic lift over 90 mph. The wing keeps the nose down at high speeds. Some of the racers have raised the center sponson to reduce the lift, but that is a big job.
