You can pretty much get more HP out of anything, it just depends on what you want to spend. For what you would spend for that motor you might be better off with another motor depending on what you're gonna use it for.

get a V6, cheaper and simpler than trying to get big power from a 115

A few bolt on improvements: 135/140 carbs, 140 heads, boyesen composite reeds, rubber intake filler blocks. If you want to get into machining, you can port the intake/exhaust and add the bubble-back exhaust system. Some parts are NLA, but you can find them with some digging. Weigh the benefits of your work and expenditure vs going straight to a V6. There is no substitute for cubic inches.

You can get more HP out of an old flat head Ford but what do you have when done, an old Flat head Ford you just spent a bunch of money on with a little more HP, still probably won't outrun a Honda Civic.

Is it going to be worth the time and money to get that other 2 mph you might get after modifying that X-flow V-4. Usually working on the setup will give you more performance than mods on those motors.

Young Jedi,

To avoid a V-4 embarressing time at the V-6 Romp (or anywhere:eek: ), you will need to V-6 upgrade your horse V-6 power in order to keep V-6 up with the rest of the V-6 pack. Especially on a V-6 Vegas Yt. As most of us have V-6 told you on the other V-6 thread;)

V-4 you decide, they don't make a V-4 200 hp motor, so if you V-6 think you'd like to V-4 RUN that boat, I think you'll need some more V-6 POWER

Just my V-6 opinion:p
