i gonna consider picking up a 78 envirude 200 how is to get parts for? would i be able to find controls ?universal work ? i always like to get good and (funny )feedback from s&f members

Talk to Riverrat,he's always fixing his OMC,probably got lots of parts to add to your purchase!!

You can find parts for it on ebay, however everytime something breaks you should update it parts from the mid 80s crossflows.

The gearcase and controls are different than on the 79 to now models. When the gearcase goes it would be wise to switch over the intake and carbs to a newer style (this allows the use of the newer style controls and gearcases).

I have a control box and cables for a 78 if you need them.

Every Evinrude comes with a "Tug Boat" operators license:eek: :D :D

There are alot of Evinrude Guru's here. I'm sure they could put their .02 in;)

I'm a black mota man, so you'll get nothing but chuckles towards a SLOMC:D :D

ive got a good crossflow crank,a set of 1 3/8 big bore carbs,and a wiring harness,and also a flywheel i will let go cheap.if you get it and want some spare parts

true stoker ,i went down towards the city today to look at a merc 150 a guy has on ebay for $800 thinking maybe this could be it open the cowl and wires are all dry rotted and missing a carb hood all dented up and he say's he never opened it to look inside (yeah ok buddy)hell with that im outa here lol
