HI!
The Bravo One 4 blade prop is lower in pitch than stamped. How does a Chopper II 3 blade 28 compare in pitch to a Bravo One 4 blade prop? If the Bravo One is lower in pitch than the 28 stamped, how does it compare to a 3 blade. Normally a 4 blade compensate for pitch.

What do you mean with lower in pitch than stamped ,did you measure the pitch ?
A bravo 1 has a large diameter 15 1/4 " most labbers are 15 " to bring rpm up a bit.
It is a totally different prop so its difficult to compare ,all I,m trying to say is you need strong engines to turn bravo1 ,s ,and for bottem end the choppers have exhaust gas over the blades which help to come faster into the powerband where there is more power.
Some props let you think they have less or more pitch than stamped ,but its actually the amount of slip that is doing that, especially when compared to other style props.
IMO ,the 2,4 and 2,5 ,s like the over hub better than the 3 liters, the 3 liters like the through hub better than over hub.

Sterling makes some real good points,to make a Bravo1 work good on an outboard requires extensive mods,i highly reccomend Mark Croxton in Indiana as he is the only one that i know of that is doing the PVS vent holes. He changes the rake for most outboard applications. He did a 26 Bravo1 for my 22foot Stoker with 250XS with 1.62 gear that pulls hard from bottom to 84mph without thinning the blades much:eek:

We tried a labbed 28" chopper II and compared to a stock 28" Bravo 1 (with vent holes) the chopper slipped like crazy on the bottom and mid range. The Bravo had way more lift and bite. For our application we would have needed about a 30" Chopper II with some extra cup for it to run like the 28" Bravo. My .02 YMMV:cool:

the bravo is stamped SMALLER than it runs... about 2 Pitch smaller.. a bravo 1 22P runs like a 24 marage up through the available range..
