We have some goodies from Simon Motorsports (http://www.simonmotorsports.com) coming this way for articles, but in the meantime, I thought I would give you all a quick look at their 335 horsepower 3-litre engine package. Check that ECU cover out!

How about a shoot-out between a 300XS, a 300X and a Simon 3 liter engine?

The plan is to run the 335HP Simon powerhead against a Mercury 250 and a 300X. We're also going to modify a 250 with Simon heads and other things. This will be a busy year. :)

Guys, I can tell you that Eric's work is top notch. I've had mine since November. It's on a 22' Ranger Bass Boat, so I won't win any speed contests, but it sure has power!http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6dd37b3127cce88507715365e00000016100Abt3DJu0asWPA

Does it fit under a stock 225/250 cowl?
And will it make 335hp with a standard mid and if not will the tuner/exhaust plate fit in the mid?

Simon

Yes it fits under a stock cowl. the motor above is on a 225 efi mid. The mid has to be 97 or newer. The cowl needs to have the rear vent spaced out. Most of the motors that I build are under stock cowls, there are a bunch of sleepers out there.

Supaboat, Unless I tell someone, or they hear me coming , you'd think it was a 225.

3.0 on the Velaro

I think it would be better to put the 3.0 liter on a hull that can handle the weight :p

I've got one of his motors also. Great motors, awesome performance and much better customer service than mercury.
