what is a good consumer gaming PC? Not talkin Alien or anything, just trying to get something with pretty good speed, a graphics card that will not have to be replaced anytime soon but will play current games well, and that can do some everyday programs too.

Any thoughts??

Jody, that depends on the games you want to play (and of course, how much you want to spend). :)

If you go to www.techbargains.com (http://www.techbargains.com), you can usually snag some really good coupon codes on Dells. I have a loaded XPS 600 and it's pretty nice, although the fans are a bit loud.

The prices on the XPS 400 and Dimension 9150 are priced really nice. Make sure you get the GeForce 7800GTX video card though.

Give me call if you want the longer version on gaming computers. LOL!

My sony was a pretty good machine right out of the box. I picked it up on sale at Best Buy for about $1000 with a sony 19" flat panel and hp printer. I also saw an ad for a sale that tiger direct's having right now...drop me your email and i'll forward it to you.
