These dates are set and lodge rates for this years event will be 75.00 per night if reserved before May 23. After that they will be the regular rate of 99.00 per night. These rooms will go fast so please don’t wait until last minute. Call 1-800-544-8912 and Tell them you’re with the Scream and Fly Rally to reserve.

Many people rented wet storage last year and can reserve a spot this year also. These rates are 25.00 per day for a covered dock and 12.50 for uncovered. For those planning to attend this year that didn’t last year, these are a “stones throw” from the lodge rooms. The marina is separate from resort so you’ll need to call
1-864-391-3477 to reserve these and ask for Ken “C”.

TRIAD POWERBOATS will have an Open House again this year. It will be from 10:00am until about 4:00pm on Friday the 23rd.


Many who attended last year saw there was construction taking place at the resort. It was for the new T-60 grill that we now have. It has a very nice atmosphere and was built literally on the beach. They have flat screens inside and out and Karioke at night for all you singers. Check out their link.

We are planning a Poker Run again this year and will post the total mileage of the trip after we run the course. Also the “PLAYGROUND” will be at the same place it was last year. It is about 2 miles by water and 4 miles by land for those of you with little tanks.

Savannah Lakes has fuel and Amoco is available on the water about 4miles down the lake. There may be a fuel truck on hand but that hasn’t been finalized yet.

More details will be posted as available so please stay tuned. We are working on some other activities and will also post when finalized. Also please send any questions you have DIRECTLY TO ME about any of this. Please DO NOT call the RESORT or TRIAD with questions. There was major confusion last year with people calling the resort and getting different info then posting on here.

We look forward to seeing everyone again and welcome all that missed last years. Hopefully mother nature will cooperate and everyone will get to see the beautiful lake we get to enjoy.

At this point it's looks like I won't be working, I work with ORSCA/Year One on the Street Legal Races. I'd like to come, but with the race season in full swing it's hard to make plans this far out. Is it mostly smaller boats or bigger boats? What events will be going on or is it mostly just hanging out and having a good time? Also is it child safe, I've been to some boating events that I wouldn't want to bring the kids so I just want to know if I should have them plan to spend the weekend at Grandma's house.;)

How do we attend a rally? Is everyone invited? I live near Savannah, Ga and would love to go to the Clarks Hill rally. Comming with the family, No one from here that I know of will be comming. Just not sure if I should bring my sons Hydrostream or the Intimidator. The Hydrostream only has a 20 gal tank where as the Intimidator has a 60 gal tank.

Yes, there are GREAT camping areas. I highly recommend Hickory Knob state park (SC) My wife and I go there often. Its 10 min from where we are all staying. They have cabins and a hotel call them and see if they have rooms available!

This is the shirt design for this year. The front will have the states in the pocket area and the back will be covered with the Resort Logo.They will be $20.00 for Med-XL and $21.00 for XXL. They will be available at front desk check-in, find me, Danny Key(yellow and black EURO) and maybe in the T-60 Grill. We can ship to anyone not able to attend that would like a shirt. Take 378 towards Lincolnton, GA from McCormick. It will be on your left right before you cross the Savannah River/Lake. Can't miss it. We will post the itinerary tomorrow. I apologize for anyone having taken off work early or made special travel arrangements in order to tour the factory. That means the parking lot party at the resort will start that much earlier.

Meet and greet, room check-in, Register for 40 mile Poker Run held Saturday (no charge) and Event Shirt at front desk(M-XL$20.00ea XXL $21.00)



Saturday June 24th

9:00-10:00 Launch Boats at Elijay Clark (across river) and Meet at Resort Beach for Poker Run Instructions and Departure.

10:00-12:00 Poker Run (approx 40 mile w/Amoco fuel avail on lake)

12:00-2:00 Arrive from Poker Run, meet for lunch at T-60 GRILL, open cards, announce poker run winners and give out prizes, purchase your event shirt.

2:00-3:00 Refuel if needed and head over to the “Playground” (2 miles by water 5 miles by car. There is a ramp there)

3:00-6:30 Play around at Playground (Hickory Knob cove same as last year)

6:30-7:00 Arrive back at Resort for the 7:00 GARY WARD AIR SHOW (weather permitting)

8:30-UNTIL meet for dinner on Deck of T-60 GRILL then PYAO and lie, lie ,lie about the days activities.


Sunday June25th

Wake up with the biggest hangover you’ve ever had and swear your never gonna drink again. Get up strength to refuel your boat cause you may go for a ride if your head and stomach can handle it.

Or, for the out-of-towners, load up on headache powders, get packed, hook up to your rig and make that dreadful trek back home thinking of all the memories you have from the weekend.

Glad ya made it back safe. Sorry I didn't see ya Sunday. I had my new little fellow(6-weeks old) there and he was ready to get back home early Sunday. Thanks Travis(long haul winner from Texas who also has a boating problem) and everyone else for coming. It was a blast(the parts I can remember). The number was down from last year but I think we still had close to 40 Hot Boats. I know gas is high these days but I guess some people were just Plain ol SKEEERED. I would like to know who the idiot was that got the 5 DNR officers called to the Playground for racing in the NO WAKE ZONES. If anyone knows, please e-mail or private message me. The Rally is always open to anyone, but they will personally be asked NOT to attend next year.

Scream & Fly Clarks Hill Rally 2010


Mark your calanders for August 27th-29th, this year the rally will be a little different than years past due to the Savannah Lakes Resort closing thier doors. So this year the event will be held at Hickory Knob State Park and are more than happy to accommadate us. They are blocking all their rooms that are still available till the end of July so book ahead of time. Room rates are $73.22 per night (2 double beds) tax included and $102.38 for a cabin (2 double beds and a pull out sofa). There is plenty of parking and a boat ramp located in park. Also there is a resturant that has great food and a buffet. As far as I know we can still use the beach at Savannah Lakes as a central meeting location and hangout. There will be a schedule of events printed out and available upon check-in. The poker run will still be Saturday morning and I have left the drag racing up to the Lake Murray guys (now really convienient since the hotel & boat ramp are now in the same location as the drag racing).
