70mph 140ft yacht

anyone up for a 140 foot yacht that can do close to 70mph. they had this boat on the travel chan. last night on "million dollar yacht". they were doing the sea trials and it was running close to 70mph but the owner was shooting for 75.

Bad A**,I would live on that boat.
Cruise for fun and race other boats for fuel money.

the guy that built this boat shopped around for a while and all of the other builders said it was impossible to build. so he opened his own boat building company and made it. he said this is 3rd one, each one faster than the other. the whole boat is built out of some kind of honeycomb material.

i want to say it cost around 30 million. i maybe wrong, they had a couple of boats on there with the cost. i dont know if the travel chan is going to show it again but if they do its worth watching just to see a 140ft boat try and get on the pad at 70mph. they had some footage of it running and it looked crazy to see a boat that big run that fast.

had a looky at website and the specs say 70 KNOTS now thats a big bloody ask for 30 odd ton of boat.......& at 75 knots well tell him he's dreamin.....:cool:

There would be no relaxed cruising at 70 knots. And think of the wakeit would throw.
