Hey Yousif, how are you? Glad to see you posting.

The lens depends on your budget and needs. If money is no object, and you want an extremely fast and sharp zoom, get the Nikkor 70-200 2.8 VR.

The 70-300 will give you slightly more reach, however it's a rather slow lens - both in focusing speed and aperture. But the price is right.

The 70-200 is an amazing lens though, but it's very large and heavy!

I just realized another reason I love this site... It is a grown up toy store!!! I see motors I want, boats I want, cameras and lenses I want... man, it is like walking through toys R us when I was a litle kid. I still cannot afford the toys, so some things never change, but at least I made the connection.:D

if money is no problem then the 18-200 nikon vr is a way to go, but good luck finding one. you have to get on a list and wait.

the sigma 50-500 is another, but needs to have good lite [eg sonny day]

the 28-200 nikon 2.5-5.6 with a 2x extender is the lower cost method

then sigma, tamron....

It's an alright lens, but I would not expect amazing image quality. The problem with a lens with that zoom range is the distortion you'll get at wide focal lengths. The new 18-200 runs about $750, which makes it a very good buy considering it has Vibration Reduction. If you want to spend $1900, the 70-200 2.8 will demolish the 18-200 in every way. No comparison. :)

It's a good lens, but like any lens, it all depends on what you want to shoot with it.
