But you can actually go buy a Mustang. :D
What I'd give to see a new mustang, camaro, challenger, viper, GT40 and a corvette parked side by side. Maybe crash an Import show and shine!

Built By Hand
Assembly of every LS7 engine is performed by hand by a dedicated team member at GM's new Performance Build Center . The engines are pushed through approximately 15 sub-assembly stations, where only the components and tools necessary to complete the station's task are on hand. Tools such as electric torque wrenches provide repeatable accuracy for the engine's precise tolerances, while the eyes of the specially trained team members provide intangible attention to detail.
Team members are engine-build specialists selected from GM's experimental engine lab, and they complete about 30 LS7 engines per day. Upon completion, each engine is balanced and subjected to a 20-minute heat test. It is then transported to the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green , Ky. , to be married with a new Corvette Z06.

I got to see the new Challenger, Camaro and Shelby Mustang at the detroit auto show this year. I'm glad tosee the U.S. auto makers taking these cars back on. I cried when the last Camaro rolled off the line in Sept. 2002. The new 6.1 Hemi in the Challenger is nothing to shake a stick at...freakin' bad! GM has only said the LS2 vette motor will be the powerplant of choice for the Camaro so far. Interestingly enough, there was no mention of what badging and package would be available on the Camaro..nothing about RS, Z-28, or SS.
Big AL, GM is using the LS2 vette motor (400hp). I actually got to see the new camaro with the hood up at the auto show and it was the LS2...but wouldn't it be interesting to see the LS7 in that car also
the new Camaro is so-so:confused: and whats with those vega lookin tailights?lol

If they build it like the prototype and price it close to the Mustang I will have one sitting in my garage. Middle age crazy is kicking in.:D

Friend had a Cuda, looks like it, I guess it's the same as a Challenger and just a different name plate?

Sorta.... both were E-body.. There are a bunch of differences though. I think the Challenger had a longer wheelbase (2 inches?) and was a bit heavier. I think the Dodge was a bit "upmarket" from the Plymouth. Both are cool, but (in my mind anyway) nothing looks as good as the '71 Cuda -- something about the four headlights and the gilled fenders..
