Unfortunately, we won't be making it up your way this weekend. Andy said your boat is running real good, so I need to stay home and test a little more. Just need to make sure I have something for you next weekend. :p By the way, how many plates are you up to on the bottom of that boat? Good thing Wally made you a light one, cause you probably got about 50 lbs of added aluminum, plastic, steel, carbon fiber, and all added to the bottom. :D :D

See ya at the races...

Hey guys, incase any of you are wondering Parker just called me and asked me to post on here that he and Skully are running way late, they blew a tire out BAD on the side of the road in the middle of no where, with no spare. It ripped the diamond plate off, messed the fneder up bad and messed the boat up, but they are back on the road as of now (12 noon saturday), but they are about 2 hours behind.

This should be a reminder of how cheap a spare tire, a set of trailer bearing and a grease gun are!!!!!!!

This happened to me about 2 years ago and i was just talking to Tom about it friday, It screwed up a whole day and pissed me off so bad I dragged it to the tire shop (still flat) and went and got my other trailer and had a total of 6 NEW tires mounted!!! This will never happen to me again!!! Need less to say I was very late getting to the lake!!

Hope it all turn out well for you guys and the boat wasn't hurt to badly!!!

looks like you beat me to it. Fortunately their coolers were full so they are partying on the side of the road and parker bought half a bottle of mad-dog from a homeless guy walking by.

well, I just got another call from Parker...apparently the fuel gauge in the Skater is way off, cuz he and Skully ran out of gas about 20 miles up river and are floating back to the ramp...slowly. And, OLEGATOR blew his motor and Sid Vicious is towing him on a plane

MODVP22
03-11-2006, 06:48 PM
Now they just hit a log and ripped part of the skeg off of one of Skully's motors. This sounds like a long expensive day.

Nice weekend !! The river claimed three powerheads and a fuel pump this weekend . I think we all should carry a spare 21 pitch prop for towing purposes as well as enough fuel and a few tools and god forbid some rope !! A 60 mile round trip can chew up some stuff ! I was one of the lucky few today thank goodness !

I was one of the lucky ones too... I came home on an empty cooler but I can fix that pretty easily.;) Good to see everyone. Did not take too many pics, but I will post the ones I have later.

I was also one of the lucky ones, still running when I put it on the trailer. I was running the other Allison ( Teal and White ). It was a fun day and I enjoyed meeting everyone. Except for the tow rope problem it was a good day. But running the river early in the season --- don't bring your best prop.

Sid, is that the same fuel pump problem you had last year at Southmoon?

Looks like you had a soaking tow back. Those Allison's are great for towing boats back on plane. ;)

Ya I talked with Tony Brucato today when I order the new pump and he thinks I might have to wire it with a relay switch? Will talk to Brad about it later and see what Tony was talking about.

I had Sterling stuff up under the front and I was hanging on and trying to keep it straight through the turns. The shot that Fish took was nothing compared to when Jim was running straight. The right sponson was almost completely flood by the time we got a ramp. Still had a great time.
